source.hasDICOMGroup¶

Use when: You want to read values from the original incoming message before any mapping changes. If you need the modified message during mapping, use message.hasDICOMGroup.

Signature: source.hasDICOMGroup(group)

Returns: Boolean hasGroup - true if any of the DICOM tags are part of the DICOM group

Determines if the current DICOM object contains any tags that are part of the given group.

Note

A Group is the first four digits of the DICOM tag: (Group,Element). "Patient Name" tag: (0010,0010). "Patient ID" tag: (0010,0020). "Patient DOB" tag: (0010,0030). All tags with a Group value of 0010 describe the Patient.
