message.getDICOMGroupSize¶

Use when: You want to read values from the modified message during mapping. If you need the original incoming message, use source.getDICOMGroupSize.

Signature: message.getDICOMGroupSize(group)

Returns: Integer groupSize - the number of DICOM tags are part of the DICOM group

Counts the number of DICOM tags within the object that are part of the given group.

Note

A Group is the first four digits of the DICOM tag: (Group,Element). "Patient Name" tag: (0010,0010). "Patient ID" tag: (0010,0020). "Patient DOB" tag: (0010,0030). All tags with a Group value of 0010 describe the Patient.
