Hospital and Health System Solutions

More than 100 hospitals and health systems have already selected QIE to help them achieve their interoperability initiatives.

Bi-Directional Data Exchange with Other Hospitals, Clinics and Medical Groups

Connecting to and exchanging patient care information with other hospitals, clinics and medical groups within the medical community can be critical in providing quality patient care. With QIE’s native support for data formats such as HL7’s FHIR® and CDA® as well as IHE protocols such as XCA, XCPD, PIX, PDQ and many more, connecting to and exchanging data with other medical organizations is easy to do. Our customers have been successful at implementing bi-directional data exchange interfaces with many different EHR systems including Allscripts, Cerner, CPSI, eClinicalWorks, Epic, GE Healthcare, McKesson, Meditech and more.

Health Information Exchange (HIE) Networks

Connecting medical communities together via health information exchange networks has been instrumental in breaking down the silos of patient data and ensuring care givers have access to critical patient information when and where they need it. Qvera customers have connected to hundreds of registries across dozens of HIE platforms. While sending patient data to the HIE benefits others in the medical community, a hospital or health system only realizes the full benefit if they have the ability to retrieve and reconcile data from the HIE into their own EHR system. With QIE’s forms module, users have the ability to query the HIE in realtime for patient information and selectively import that data into the EHR.

Enterprise Portal Integration

With meaningful use requirements, the ability to provide clinical data to patients via an enterprise patient portal has become a necessity. Often, the data needed to populate the enterprise patient portal resides in multiple different HIT systems and databases. Using QIE, patient data from all these platforms can be easily integrated to any enterprise patient portal. This includes the ability to exchange HL7® demographics (ADT messages), scheduling data (SCH messages), billing data (DFT messages), lab results (ORU messages), consolidated continuity of care (C-CDA) records, discharge reports, as well as fast healthcare information resources (FHIR).

Syndromic Surveillance Reporting

The demand for syndromic surveillance reporting is increasing as more and more public health agencies implement IT systems capable of collecting this data electronically. Requirements often vary from one agency to the next with regards to the data being reported, the format requested by the agency and the communication protocol implemented for data submission. QIE’s open and extensive platform accommodates all of these requirements and allows our customers to easily connect to their public health agency for syndromic surveillance reporting.

Augment Your Legacy Interface Engine

The interoperability landscape is constantly changing. Emerging standards such as HL7’s FHIR are gaining momentum and quickly being adopted by the healthcare IT industry. Often, legacy interface engines struggle to support these emerging standards and this lack of support can stifle interoperability goals. Our open and extensive platform, which includes built-in support for all legacy as well as emerging interoperability formats and standards, allows hospitals and health systems to augment the functionality of their legacy platforms without the substantial cost of replacing the legacy system.

And Much More…

Because of it’s flexibility and ease of use, QIE enables our customers to achieve success, even with the most complex scenarios. We work with our customers on a daily basis and help them solve their interoperability challenges. With QIE, there’s no limit to what is possible.
