QIE 24.1.1 adds LDAP authentication, roles and de-identification
QIE 24.1.1 is available. Identity, access control and a new Java baseline.
QIE now requires Java 17
Support for Java 8 and Java 11 is dropped. A Java 17 runtime must be in place before upgrading.
LDAP authentication
Users can authenticate against a corporate LDAP or Active Directory server rather than a separate local password, so account lifecycle and password policy stay with the directory.
Role-based user management
Permissions are defined once on a named role and granted to users instead of being set per account, and LDAP groups can be mapped to QIE roles.
De-identify and re-identify messages
Scripts can strip or substitute patient identifiers and store an encrypted copy of the originals, so a message shared for research or vendor testing can be re-identified later by an authorised party.
Channel statistics in three places
Per-channel statistics are available from the script interface, the Management API and the channel page, so interface volume can feed an external dashboard.
REST responses streamed to disk
A REST call can write its response directly to a file or network location rather than holding it in memory, which makes large payload downloads practical.
Published retroactively in September 2026 to complete the release archive. QIE 24.1.1 shipped on 22 March 2024.
