How to reset the QIE Admin Password?

We can't log into QIE. Can we reset the password?

QIE versions after 2.0.43 now has a feature to recover a lost password.

If you can't log into QIE and need to reset the administrator password:

1. Export the entire qie configuration or locate the nightly configuration export file
2. Stop the QIE service
3. Rename the h2 database folder (e.g. 'h2' becomes 'h2-old')
4. Start the QIE service.  This will cause QIE to create a new empty database
5. Import the configuration file from step 1 above.  Be sure to *not* include the 'System Configuration' settings when importing the configuration file.  If you include the System Configuration settings all users and passwords will be overwritten and you will be back to the initial problem of being unable to log into to QIE.
