How can I connect to a shared folder?

I need to use a shared folder (smb/samba) but the user used to run QIE does not have the proper credentials to connect.  We can not change the credentials in our case.  We also have several shared folders each with unique credentials so using only one to run QIE does work to connect to all.  I can map it as a network drive but it is slow.  Is there another way to connect to shared folders?

Yes.  As of version 43 of QIE a new feature was added for this purpose.  It also allows for connecting to shares on another domain.  From the source node select Network Share as in the screen shot below:

NOTE: The user name can be entered with a domain using this pattern [domainName;]username example: mydomain;myuser
