In the Qvera training class we were taught to use the NIST CDA validator at: cda-validation.nist.gov/cda-validation/validation.html

When I run our CCDs thru this validator I receive no errors, warnings or notes.

Our HIE (recipient of our CCDs) is telling me our CCDs are failing validation and that I should be using the validator at:

transport-testing.nist.gov/ttt/ with option Clinical Office Visit Summary - MU2 170.314(e)(2) - Clinical Summary

I do receive errors when running this validator.

I've looked around on the NIST website but don't see any guidance regarding validator tools.  Can you advise on a course of action? How do I tell the HIE they are using the wrong validation tool or am I using the wrong tool?

The nist.gov example from the training class is what we have found to be the most commonly used. This does not make it the correct validator to use or only validator to use. In this case you should use the validator that your end point is requesting that you use.
