How can I restore previous configurations in QIE?

How can I restore previous users, channels, database connections, web service connections, system variables (including cross reference files), certificates, etc in QIE?

Each night, QIE will make a complete backup of the system configuration by exporting the configuration to the backup folder located in the QIE home folder (usually C:\ProgramData\QIE\Backup). The backup folder also contains a monthly and yearly folder. 

To restore all or part of a backup file, use the Import Configuration Dialog.  Select  Application -> Import Configuration from the main menu. Enter a full pathname to the configuration file or click the ellipses ( ) to search for a file like the nightly backup file. Select the Open button to display the Item Selection screen. From the Item Selection screen, you can choose to import (restore) one or more items including channels, database connections, certificates, ect.
