When setting up a new inbound port for a new channel a user can use a new feature of QIE called "View Port" This feature will show the user which port numbers are already in use and will display as a suggestion the next available port number. This feature works in conjunction with System Configuration -> Other System Settings "Next Port" number feature. This allows the system admin to specify the minimum port number that should be used to avoid conflicts with well-known or registered ports.

Step 1: Select "View Ports from the Socket Configuration tab on the Green Source Node.

Step 2: Review ports that are already in use or choose "Use Port" to select the next available port number. In this case, it would be 20032.

Step 3: Provide your IP address and chosen port number to the vendor who will be sending you data.

This screen shot shows the seeded value for your system as the minimum port number to start using for interfaces and can be changed as desired.
