Can I remove a message before it is processed

I have a message that has not been processed.  Is it possible to stop it from being processing.

You can discard a message before it is processed by doing the following steps.

1. Stop the channel in the QIE interface 
2. In the top right click on View, Queues, Inbound
3. Locate your message using the time and message ID
4. Highlight the message  and click discard in the Inbound Queue Window
5. Start the channel in the QIE interface
